Took this at Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve trying out an ND filter. I bought a 6 stop ND filter ages ago but never got around to trying it properly.
I am pleased with how this turned out.
Flowing water, dancing drops
Stream of fate, that never stops
Twisting, turning, shining bright
Swimming with the rays of light
That descend and they fly
Down from the beautiful endless sky
Above the stream that never stops
With it's flowing water and it's dancing drops
I needed an image with streaming light in a forest for a compositing project so went out this morning and found one.
I'd finished up taking a few shots at Courthouse Falls last May and decided to try to capture a few close ups of the rushing water...
Well not really a stream, more a case of rain water running down a channel created by tyres of a track and over a pebble. It’s the light that appeals to me - both the reflection on the water and the sky in the distance.
A Trickling stream thaws the silent dawn
while bright eyes wink awake from the water
watching for a twinkling little robin,
red as the ripened berries at Christmas.
Little sign of spring coming here yet by the sparkling waters of the River Teign near Chagford in Dartmoor National Park.
Shot in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park
This is a close-up photo of sunlight refracting through water patterns in a shallow stream flowing across Clam Harbour Beach.
Beautiful peaceful calm Left Hand Creek with colorful fall foliage in Left Hand Canyon photographed with a long exposure.
