We went to the Ureweras but it was shut! The great walk was closed due to track damage from the snow storm, the camp ground turned us away and the visitor centre wasn't open for 3 days. So we explored a lot of the smaller tracks, streams and trap lines looking for interesting forest to photograph. We came across this scene right near the end of our trip. I was pretty excited! I haven't worked through all the comps yet from this place but will post a couple more probably

natural barrier in Ratumse Beek.

Mill House dating back to 1830 in Flat Rock, NC. In the mid-1900s the Mill House was converted to apartments. The original Mill House and a hand full of other surrounding buildings now operate as a resort.

At any time of year, the Japanese garden looks pretty cool.

While hiking along a road there in Yosemite, I could hear this flowing water off in the distance. Headed off into the woods and came upon this glorious scene.

 

Captured with the CPL filter only here in the low light of the woods.

Taken with an old Nikon D700 and 24-120 mm lens set at 24 mm f10.0 for 0.6 sec.

Went up into the mountains today ....Ok when i sent off it WASN'T raining ....when i got to this usually small mountain stream the heavens opened and the wind really started ....This is in for the day i thought to myself as is seat in my waterproofs huddled beside that rock ...Time for a quick exit .....

It’s nice to relax with the sounds of nature

Previously covered by an elevated highway, the Cheonggyecheon stream was recovered in 2005 and has become an atraction for locals as well as tourists since.

A small stream of water was carving it's way down the rock funnel. Amazing to see what water accomplishes.

Much of La Vallée de Ferney, in Mauritius, consists of rolling hills and grassland. However, there is also a substantial area of indigenous rainforest, containing streams such as this one.
