Killarney National Park in Ireland has a lot of lakes - and a lot of streams that feed them and keep them full. This lovely creek sat just below the spectacular 75' tall falls called Torc in the north end of the park.
Handheld and still relatively sharp!
Crystal clear water with a constant temperture of 11 degrees Celcius, regardless of the season. My eldest grandaughter is entering the Stream, she sometimes float down the stream from the bridge to this area with her younger brothers & sister. Our Grandchildren's backyard, as they live very nearby.
Stream Cruiser (Didymops transversa) - Middle Road, Boothbay Harbor, Maine
I photographed this guy a couple days ago from 20 feet away with a 600 mm lens, and promised I'd go back to take some serious pics with my dragon macro rig.
So, here they are!
This is my first attempt at a looping motion background. I plan to use this as a 'Welcome Slide.' The splice is actually near the middle of the video. I cut the video in half, and put the second half first. Then I tried to find similar frames in the middle to splice the two halves together. So the last frame of this video, was actually shot just prior to the first.

The photo doesn't do this scene any justice. I was amazed by the swift flow of the brook under the ice... I wish I could have caught the way it bubbled up against the ice ceiling...
Also a watermark test.

One of my favorite pics taken from the bus of a small stream in the countryside.
