This is a little stream I came across on my trip to Mammoth Lakes. I liked how the fall colors framed the water.
Orton enhanced the light/shadow contrast. I love the way light streams into the photo, as if its source isn't dispersed but bound to the water.
This beautiful and enticing stream flows through the canyon below the trail. Alas, swimming is not allowed! (It is a source of drinking water for Litochoro.)
How I think, how I see. Images, words, music just pouring out in a jumble. Then the work of organizing begins.
This is the project i'm working on on my design wall. I'm ready to sew blocks and rows together. It is all raw edged piecing.
A stream running down from Dartmoor in Devon. This shot is near Mary Tavy, on the west edge of the moor.
I'm using a bamboo dip pen and Noodlers Ink and no pencil. It is a bit challenging...the ink is thick at first, but thins to nothing and then dipped again. I love the fluid wonky lines...The assignment for class was to draw 'breakfast'....lol
Out chasing a few waterfalls today. There was a couple just coming back from sliding down the COLD waterfall.
A stream once buried under an elevated expressway was uncovered after the expressway was demolished.
This is the second week on SketchbookSchool. Homework is to practice drawing outside in public using ink and colored pencils. I quickly sketched this while waiting for my car to go through a car wash...snapped a photo for color reference..and finished it when home. The planted area was behind a chain link fence next to a freeway offramp.
