Beside the path to the shrine is this beautiful stream which trickles with a pleasing sound. This is one of the calmest places I know. Probably my favourite spot in Japan.

A re-edit of a photo I took over 15 years ago with my then-new Canon EOS 30D DSLR and its "better" kit lens, the EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. Revisiting the image, I made adjustments and applied a lookup table in Luminar 4 then I loaded it into Photoshop for some further tweaking.

Not unsurprisingly, Kevin and I were the only ones here, needing a 4x4 to get this far over an hour or two. I was going so slow, I had to pull over to let a tracor pass!

I haven't done a HDR photo for a while (well I haven't done any photos for a while) so as we had a brief appearance from Mr. Sun I thought now would be as good a time as any.
This is the stream/brook at the back of my house. I used the orton technique to soften it up a bit, make it a bit dreamy.
