One of many streams that can be found in the the Mt Rainier National Park. This one was along the Wonderland Trail near the Sunrise Visitor center.

Sono combattuta tra la voglia di amare e essere amata

e la fredda consapevolezza di dover soffrire

scappare dalla felicità

anche quando bussa alla tua porta

soffrire per la felicità mancata

o accoglierla

e poi piangere per la felicità perduta?

I found this stream on a hike. This time I used the free photo editing software "the gimp" to blend a bw and colorized layer to improve this image (hopefully!). Two second exposure to create the effect in the water.

this is a stream somewhere in the Tatra Mountains in Poland...

it was not easy to take this shot as the constant sunlight peeking through the trees created rather harsh highlights - but overall I was pretty pleased with the results...

Descanso Gardens, Flintridge, California.

It was a beautiful day to wheel my mother around these lovely gardens and unlike back home in Connecticut, here flowers were in bloom. Of course, this particular stream wasn't exactly Sage's Ravine; it was lined with concrete, but it still looked great.

There was plenty of color but I'm very much into what the little Ricoh GR is doing with high contrast. These were RAWs that I converted in Lightroom based on what I liked with the Ricoh's high contrast JPEGs. I continue to love this camera, it's fun and easy to use and the results are astounding.

Back home in freezing Connecticut now. Sigh.

Along the McKenzie River Trail

"The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day

runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth

in numberless blades of grass

and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth

and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.

And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment."

I could have spent all day at these streams in the Smokies. I wish we would have had the time. However, I promise myself that I would return to these spots and spend a lot more time!
