A small stream near Berwick that empties in to the River Tweed.

Running down from the tops at Kinder Scout. Created in the same way I make my landscapes pictures of wide views, out of many images to really capture the fine detail and textures.

“Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.”

― Robert Frost

This is my favorite shot I've taken during fall. It doesn't look it, but I had to get my camera really close to the water. A few water drops kept appearing on the lens.

Mountain stream of Oirase streams in Aomori Prefecture of Japan.

A beautiful stream illuminated by fresh green light entertains people.

I pray that this beautiful natural environment will be protected and last forever.

“Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. I drink at it; but while I drink I see the sandy bottom and detect how shallow it is. Its thin current slides away, but eternity remains.”

Liverworks grow very well deep in the cut "canyon" of McCormicks Creek State Park. In deep shade and near the stream, the humidity is high, just what liverworts like best!

What a picture like this with such a small camera is amazing!

"Kumoi no Taki" is a famous waterfall of Oirase streams in Aomori Prefecture of Japan.

It was time to be healed by the clear air, the sound of mountain streams and the cry of birds.

I pray that this beautiful natural environment will be protected and last forever.

Early morning. The water is reflecting a sunlit green and gold hillside on the opposite bank.

Another from Acadia National Park on Easter Sunday...we stopped to explore a trail and I heard running water...found this stream, and fortunately there was a walkway over it that I was able to rest the camera on to take a longer exposure.

Long exposure rapids next to an old tree which has seen it all before and has the scars to prove it (on the left in this shot). It's roots are constantly eroded by the monsoon surges of water, which can sometimes reach 2-meters in hight through this narrow chasm, and tsunami-like walls of water caused by fallen trees damming the watercourse or landslides upstream.

This is the Seaton Burn which runs through Holywell Dene in North East England. Not much water in it - we've not had much rain recently - but there's loads of leaves.

An oasis of clear, cool water.

Reflections in the current of a stream in Shubie Park.

This is a photo of the sunlight refracting through wind driven ripples in a shallow stream at Clam Harbour Beach. The image has been mirrored and copied twice to be symmetrical. The detail is best seen full screen.

The City of Cotter, Arkansas, is referred to as the "Trout Capital of the USA".

This is a photo of the reflection of branches and vegetation on a slight turbulence in the current of a stream in Shubie Park.

A steep hike in Auburn we viewed several waterfalls in the area and several more an hour prior at the Steven Creek Falls. This scene was interesting a surprise as I passed the main waterfall. However I didn't notice the leaf on the log when I was there. My friend was able to catch a good composition with it and I didn't believe it was there I thought is was placed there somehow? Then I looked again at my photos and sure enough it was right there. Auburn has a great sense of natural beauty and always looking different all the time. I hope you enjoy this Ultrawide vantage.

Kirkjufell or Church Mountain in the Snaefellsnes peninsula, Iceland. The cloud is cutting off the top of the mountain, but this is still one of the most amazing places to take pictures in Iceland. You can catch several waterfalls depending on your angle around this stream that goes to the ocean.
