There is a hot stream that flows from the Imperial Geyser at Yellowstone. Since the source of the stream is the geyser, the water is quite warm and steamy. Kind of surreal. See the photo in the first comment for context.
This 'stair-step' stream is a tributary to Soco Falls, which is located just west of Maggie Valley, NC. The shot was taken during last fall's foliage trip
From the series "Forms of Water". I took this in March 2015 not so far from my home (edited 2016).
This is one of the photos from my exhibition "Luminance boréale".
Before sunrise at Harlyn bay in Cornwall. An early walk out with Lowena Jane and Camera meant we were able to capture the mist before it burnt off and also capture the sunrise sky glow in the stream running down the beach . Also avoiding the many Jellyfish littered about the beach after being washed up over night .
Wherever the stream, it does flow
Wherever your hopes, they do go
Wherever sweet fate, guides your hand
Travel to that secret land
Where does wait, your sweet love
My hand it does slip in your glove
My arms they hold you very tight
Through the day and all the night
As we share a beautiful dream
Bathing in the flowing stream
Where fate is found, so very sweet
Where your heart and mine will forever meet
