Water flowing in the woods. Spring is here

A quiet spot along the trail in the Porcupine Mountains

A tributary to the Merced River winds its way through the Yosemite Valley on a cold winter day in California's Sierra Mountains.

Long exposure, Lee Little Stopper

When light becomes optimum, we may reach out

to the steady stream no doubt

cold as it may be, the opuscule journey

is keynote to nature's indelible power of attorney

over the rites of Spring, our signature tune

for hope over the attire of the unreasoned full moon

glimmering in reflected glory despite vortical challenge

of every strenuous contortion in psychedelic allonge

a Dali clockface slipping by in surrealist memoir

or an Impressionistic dream By the Water a-la-Renoir

we are left in a trance, truncated from reality no doubt

a journeying vision ebbs through our very senses devout

clinging to Nature is now a choice apart

distance measured from society's truculent black art

in trust with light, entertained by resources a plenty

music the only additive needed as emotives are many

such is this efficacious moment now streaming-by

for eclectic complexioned reflections, are no cosmetic shadow by-the-bye

no indeed not, this is Nature's very own compelling autograph;

a preface to the climate of life in Her environmentally-friendly bibliograph

Even though we're in walking distance of the CBD there's still lots of bush around. Maybe not so wise to drink the water but it does sound good and there's plenty of eels swimming in it. Can't be too bad.

Natures tears, see them fly

Out from the depths of the hidden eye

See them ride the waves and flow

Along the stream, watch them go

Swimming the waters and stones that lie

Deep in the depths of the hidden eye

A stream located within Governor Dodge State Park in Wisconsin.

The impressions caught my eye while flying over this. In post processing, I noticed how the near mountain made a very nice leading line which parallels the impressions. The open valley seems other worldly. The sunrise orange made the sand and rocks a golden color. Some of the dunes took on a more reddish hue which will be posted in upcoming images.

While in Kwessi Dunes we did aerial photography of Sossusvlei from doorless helicopters; another incredible thrill. I've never had a more productive 60 minutes with a camera.

Cascade Lakes are the last lakes (as it contains a few small lakes) on the Opabin Plateau before they run downstream to Lake O'Hara. The bright lights from the northern direction on the horizon is the last little bit of aurora from this particular night. Color starting to fade away as the morning is approach quickly! Hope you enjoy it!!

A rivers edge view in winter, West Lothian, Scotland.

Found this wonderful little forest stream while out in Alberta. It looked good in its natural state, but in my opinion, it looked even better cross processed. Enjoy!

Just down the road from Castle Hill along SH73, a glimpse of Cave Stream just in front of the entrance to the cave itself which you can see up ahead. We wanted to go through the cave but wading in chest deep icy water without wetsuit didn't appeal to us. My earlier image of Cave Stream showing the golden colours was taken from the flat rocks looking across but half an hour after this image was taken.

The track of an inchoate stream is unmistakable. Rushing water cuts scallops, dips and meanders as it runs over surface of sandstone. A much larger stream is to the right; they have a confluence lower and to the right. These drain into the canyon created by Keg Spring.

Stream, stream, stream away

Float into another day

Past the fields of vivid green

To a land, as yet unseen

Stream, stream, stream away

Sail into another day

Along the water of pure blue

Until sweet beauty is brought to you

Down the stream , past fields of green

In a land that is yet unseen

This stream flows through Warren Dunes State Park and into Lake Michigan.
