This was one of many stray cats that we met during our time in Zadar. It was happily amusing itself trying to catch the plastic tape attached to the pole.
A lot of cats have been 'adopted' by the restaurants - or perhaps it's the other way round! These seem to thrive with guests, like us, giving them morsels from our meals to eat. Others appear to be doing OK too... We regularly saw a lady on her bicycle, laden with both wet and dry food that she dished out to individual cats every night. I also bought and handed out Dreamies (our cat's absolute favourite treat) to any cat that looked like it needed a little extra!
Stray cat, one of about a dozen which are always hanging outside our ground floor flat. For the short periods we are there we make sure they are all well fed, the neighbours also do their bit when we leave. A couple of them appeared to be pregnant so the next time we visit there may well be lots of little kittens.
The photo is taken with me behind the balcony wall looking straight down, shortly after my wife left food for them.

Something strange is happening. Winter transforms into spring and back several times a day in the recent week. May be spring has lost the way.....
But it creates interesting views and possibilities for the photographers...

On a grayish and greenish morning at the fishing pier Just past the sign " No pets beyond this point" I see this cute fellow.
Stray cat at my barn. It's beginning to tame down a little and seems to get along well with the other four cats that live at the barn.
Un gros matou ‒ superbe, magnifique, aux traits de "norvégien des forêts" ou de chat sauvage européen ‒ qui a trouvé refuge parmi les ruines d'une tribune (pour courses d'autos) abandonnée, au milieu d'un vaste terrain vague, loin de vacarme des artères encombrées. Sans nul doute, il fait des "expéditions" alimentaires dans des zones plus peuplées, mais ici il passe ses moments de loisir.
