I was in Paris a while ago, and when out with my camera one of the nights, I came a across what I later discovered was a Pétanque tournament. This man seemed to be the one to watch. I captured him as he was planning his next move against a tough opponent. He appeared to be lost in thought, as if the hustle and bustle all around him had disappeared for those few moments before his throw. Well, at least that's the way I perceived it.
