Age of empires is a large complex strategy game with high rez and high detail. Age of empires objective is to defeat your opponent using a wide range of units while upgrading your nation. This game has a complicated objective due to how hard it is to multi task.
Real-time strategy (RTS) is a subgenre of strategy video games which does not progress incrementally in turns.
The term "Real-time strategy" appeared in BYTE magazine in 1982, but usually Brett Sperry is credited with coining the term to market Dune II.
In an RTS, as in other wargames, the participants position and maneuver units and structures under their control to secure areas of the map and/or destroy their opponents' assets. In a typical RTS, it is possible to create additional units and structures during the course of a game. This is generally limited by a requirement to expend accumulated resources. These resources are in turn garnered by controlling special points on the map and/or possessing certain types of units and structures devoted to this purpose. More specifically, the typical game of the RTS genre features resource gathering, base building, in-game technological development and indirect control of units.
The tasks a player must perform to succeed at an RTS can be very demanding, and complex user interfaces have evolved to cope with the challenge. Some features have been borrowed from desktop environments; for example, the technique of "clicking and dragging" to select all units under a given area.
‘The Political Reporter’ is a new media installation by Boone, NC-based artist Mark Nystrom that generates random, but intriguing statements with words found on political websites and in the media. Sources include the Obama and Romney presidential campaigns, the Democratic and Republican parties, bloggers and the news media.
‘The Political Reporter’ animates a cloud of letters and periodically makes statements. These images are screen grabs taken while ‘The Political Reporter’ was running on Election Day and the day after.
Letters from words gathered from conservative sources are colored red and ones from liberal sources are blue. ‘The Political Reporter’s’ vocabulary includes over 70,000 words, but only 300 appear on the screen at any given time. As words are used to make statements, they are replaced by randomly chosen new ones from the list of 70,000.

Over 2 days, European and international institutions and donors, the European Civic Forum, in cooperation with Civil Society Europe, organised a meeting that brought together key civic actors from various backgrounds at national and European level, as well as policy makers and donors, to engage with the overarching strategic question: "How can we enable, protect and expand Europe's civic space in order to create greater social and environmental justice and democracy for all? The objective of the meeting was to identify the building blocks and concrete actions needed to create an enabling space in the EU, including a pan-European campaign on European civil society strategy before the European elections and the structures needed to coordinate it, in Brussels on 5-6 December 2022.
