The Quinlan Career Strategies Series occurred on Saturday, October 15, 2016, at the Quinlan School of Business, Schreiber Center, Room 1001, Water Tower Campus.
Fellow graduate students gathered over brunch to refine their career strategy; develop their networking know-hows; learn about specific tactics which have been successful for others; and roll-up their sleeves to design or refine their own individualized career plan.
The DFAT Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Strategy was launched at the new embassy by Ambassador Grigson, with guest speakers Minister Yohana Yambise (Indonesia’s Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Minister), Professor Caroline McMillen (President, University of Newcastle), and Ms. Anis Hidayah (Executive Director, Migrant Care).

On March 26, 2014, Jeremy de Beer, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Law at University of Ottawa, gave a research lecture on how different intellectual property strategies promote or inhibit open innovation. Professor De Beer is currently working on technological innovation and intellectual property in global contexts. His research is applied in practical contexts ranging from information communication technology in the digital economy to biotechnology in life sciences industries to innovation strategy at international, national, and firm levels.
