Macro Mondays: Battery

I was amazed to see the insect above. It does look strange. It is a real living creature, though.

I don't know what it is called. If you know, please, tell me.

Thanks to Nick Cowling and E. R. Edinger, I came to know the name of the above insect. A Weevil, they said. I have never heard of such a name. Here is some very interesting information from the internet about this little creature:
