This was actually a shot John Bleakley wanted to get before we even set off from Dufton to walk up to High Cup Nick.
He was hopeful that there would be enough water in Strands Beck to provide a bit of foreground interest as it began its long fall down into the valley to High Cup Gill.
We were lucky that there was still enough water after a relatively dry spell up here. But the light was pretty harsh back in the West beyond Murton Fell and the distant Lake District Fells.
We both had a go at getting this shot before we went higher to the joys of the High Cup Nick itself.
So here is my offering on this scene.

Moest wel genoegen nemen met een paar natte voeten. Maar het was het wel waard.

Dollymount strand is the beach part of Bull Island in Dublin. It is a favourite spot for walking, kitesurfing, and swimming. The wide, sandy shore offers stunning views of Dublin Bay and the Howth Peninsula.
Taken inside the De Brasserie restaurant in Strand, Western Cape.
Food, service, ambience and view - top notch. It's great to have this little piece of Belgium in South Africa.

Thanks for the visit and the comments :-)
Man muss beim Sonnenuntergang ja nicht immer in Richtung Sonne gucken.

On the bottom right you can see the silhouette of a possum which stayed very still for the 10 sec exposure. Nice posing by the possum :)
In the background stands St Mary le Strand (designed by architect James Gibbs and consecrated in 1724).
