Inmitten des Badeortes Cannes befindet sich die Flaniermeile Boulevard de la Croisette. Die Croisette wurde im Jahre 1850 nach dem Vorbild der Promenade des Anglais in Nizza angelegt. Der Boulevard hat eine Länge von zwei Kilometern und endet im Osten am Pointe Croisette, von wo aus man einen Blick über die gesamte Promenade hinweg auf das Festspielhaus hat. Shops, Boutiquen, Restaurants und Bars wechseln sich ab. Auch drei Casinos und der Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, in dem das Internationale Filmfestival stattfindet, befinden sich hier. Viele der größeren Hotelketten führen ein Hotel an der Croisette, darunter InterContinental (Carlton), Hilton und Mercure. Aber am aller schönsten ist hier der Strand und das Meer. In der Luft liegt ein Aroma von Salz, Sonne und gutem Essen. In den verschiedenen Strand Restaurants kann man herrliche Spezialitäten genießen und aufs Meer schauen. ich liebe Urlaub........
Ich liebe diese weiten Strände und mache immer wieder endlos viele Bilder........im nachhinein kann ich mich dann nie entscheiden, was ich zeigen soll oder nicht.
Meistens bleibt es dann beim durchstreifen des Bilderordners ohne mir was auszusuchen um es hier auf Flickr hochzuladen.
Hier hab ich mich bewusst entschieden, den Blick nicht ganz und gar an den Strand freizugeben. Diese Dünen sind so wichtig und wertvoll für die Küste und gehören immer mit dazu.

Strand Vintage Theatre, Key West, Florida. You can’t visit Key West without encountering feral chickens. Considered an integral part of the island’s culture and charm, they are many and widespread, roam freely, and fend for themselves on the streets. They have both fans and detractors but do enjoy legal protected status. Harm, kill, or even feed one and you’re in for a hefty fine!
I'm glad I walked down to the point this morning as the sunrise on Rosslare Strand was gorgeous and what a lovely morning to be out on the Wexford coastline.

What more could one say about the Silver Strand Beach other than it’s simply one of the most stunning beaches you could ever lay eyes on 😍 Certainly one of Ireland’s finest horseshoe beaches, complete with its surrounding natural sea grass landscape. Located on the extreme western point of rural Donegal, far away from the everyday bustling of congested towns & traffic jams.
On arrival you are still extremely high above this cove which was carved deep into the surrounding bedrock throughout millions of years of wave erosion. There’s a steep 174 stepped path leading down to this dreamy beach. An experience your mind will never forget walking down to & an experience your legs will never forget climbing back up them 😅 Great for both your body & mind.....
Such a surreal feeling to gaze across our vast Atlantic Ocean (The Pond) knowing that the next stop is America & Canada! Silver Strand is pretty much a little bit of heaven tucked safely away here in Ireland’s side pocket 💚
