In a scene that could have taken place along any industry along the St.Louis & San Francisco Railroad in the final months of World War I, Frisco 1630 holds at the railroad crossing during night operations at the Illinois Railway Museum on Labor Day Weekend 2021. 1630, known as a Russian Decapod, is a 2-10-0 build by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1918 originally for export to Russia. After the Bolshevik Revolution, all remaining decapods not yet shipped to Russia remained behind, and were eventually sold to US railroads. IRM is the largest railroad museum in the United States.

Can’t say I’ve noticed much change on Flickr lately, other than Explore going from rarely to never. Maybe I’m taking the wrong kind of photos for New Flickr? Every time I check, it’s mostly birds. Not sure there is much mileage in London’s pigeon population though. Ah well. Here’s a bridge. Enjoy.
Time for another forest picture, I love the details of the branches and twigs, here!

Shot taken for Saturday Self Challenge 08/02/2025 - Twisted .
Well these bits of copper wire in different colours look rather straight for the " Twisted " challenge - however , they may be straight but each piece is made up of between two to five different coloured strands of wire . In the bottom left is part of the crank that is turned with the required number of pieces of wire and within seconds there is a twisted wire of varying colours ready for use in making jewellery , art pieces or whatever .
And for music while you twist --------
