On Valentine's Day a coalition of environmental groups led by Third Act NYC, along with allies from XRNYC, Stop the Money Pipeline, Greenfaith, 350NYC, Rise And Resist and many other organizations, delivered a letter to JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon demanding an immediate end to all new fossil-fuel investing, and that Chase redirect its investments to renewable sources of energy. In view of major steel industry executives from around the world at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square, climate advocates with Public Citizen and SteelWatch dropped a banner from the railings of the 7th floor that read âGreen Steel Nowâ with images of a burning Earth. Advocates also distributed green steel fact sheets to attendees during conference sessions.
