The drive system on a Big Eli ferris wheel. An electric motor drives the tires, which apply their force on a flange mounted on the wheel itself. The piston device on the top is a pneumatic service brake.
A reminder to myself to stop and slow down and just take a breath every now and then. Life has been crazy recently and there has been little time to do the things I enjoy. I shot this today while I sat in the grass, looking around, enjoying a beautiful day, all while waiting for my car to be fixed and reading a few chapters for my next unit on photography class.

"停"對我來說的意義實在滿大的
偷偷跟你說我在戒煙了
實施的滿徹底的一個星期都不抽也沒有問題 (( :
我想慢慢的把喝酒這件事情也一起停掉
但是我實在很喜歡那種
你可以感覺到酒精在你的血液中脈動的感覺
到底什麼時候才會停呢?
Tumble / Clydach / Grwyne Fechan
- Multi stop all dayer with Robin.
Train to Abergavenny, up the Tumble and a quick loop around Blaenavon before dropping down into Clydach Gorge, my first visit to the area (returned in 2022*).
Next stop, the ruinous C19th Hermitage house at the furthest point of Grwyn Fechan valley. Shoes off and had a quick dip and a quick beer in the stream!
On to the grade I listed 11th-century Church of St Issui at Partrishow. A 16th-century rood screen, mediaeval murals links to the Third Crusade, plus one of the oldest fonts in Wales!
Returned to Abergavenny via Llanvihangel Crucorney and a quick glance at Ysgyrud Fawr.

Stopped in to see the Ribault Club on Fort George Island, Florida (near Jacksonville). The Ribault Club opened in 1928 as a wintertime resort and sits near the Kingsley Plantation (Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve). In Jacksonville for the Barbie Convention (I am the Logistics Manager for Paintbox Designs - aka - my wife).
Strange foot steps, they made a trail on the ground and even up a wall and over a door way and back down to the ground, pretty cool, wonder who did it and why.
I spent all weekend in Stockholm, shooting with my old DSLR, and trying to remember how it worked. Most photos came out too dark, blurry, and weird, but I kind of like them that way.
