I start to wonder why I'm here not there,

Yes, I know that everyone gets scared. They're trying to come back, all my senses push - untie the weight bags, that some never thought I could.

So many wonderful things have happened to me over the past few days. I have been given what might turn out to be an amazing opportunity in my career all from one phone call last night. I am so excited about life and whats to come, today more than ever I felt like I am really living. Seriously I could cry right now I am so happy. People are so kind.

Feck, I just looked at the time and I am late for a meal with my friends... eep! More description later! :P

IM BACK!

SPEAKING of wonderful things - ph my LORD. I was at the meal with three of my friends, Gina, Nicki and Sam - and half way through I actually crapped myself because my bag was gone. I rushed and left early and started to re-trace my steps. NOTHING. I went into three restaurants and asked if anyone had handed in a black bag. Nothing. By chance I stopped at a bar called Monk and asked the bar man. Nothing. Then a guy sat on his own at the bar said that he'd found it and hung it up outside a nearby shop!! He took me to the shop and I hugged him so hard he is like my santa!!!! I will be so thankful to that man forever!!

YAY!

There used to be a RR crossing sign on these tracks a long time ago. Traveled over these tracks many times. Today I stopped on them, looked through the lens and clicked.

A motorist is heeding the rules at railroad crossings as MRL 355 whizzes by with the Bozeman Turn on the east side of Livingston. The train will head into the yard here to receive a rear helper set for the climb up Bozeman Pass.

This will be the last picture from my trip to London for the moment. Have a great weekend everybody.

After an eventful four days on the river it was time to get back to civilization. VIA's Sudbury-White River service has at its core always been about connecting the remote communities of northern Ontario. The "flag stop" train allowing passengers to hop on or off just about anywhere in between - and so of course that's what we did - throw a red life jacket on the front of the canoe and wave while #186 eased into Pogamasing beneath the towering rock cuts (view from the top pictured here flic.kr/p/2qxHr8L).

Veteran Budd RDC-4 #6250 leads the way, built way back in 1955 for the Canadian Pacific and is acting as the baggage car for the trip. The RDCs are perfect for this type of service being able to stop quickly and accelerate rapidly, while doing passenger speeds in between. It will be interesting to see how much longer these are in service, but it was a pleasure to be able to both ride and capture them in their element over the course of the trip.

One final aside, the back track here is 100 lb rail from Algoma Steel dating back to 1932. There are a number of these backtracks on the Nemegos and White River Subs that used to house specialized school cars dating back to 1926. Commissioned by the Ontario Ministry of Education, the CPR brought the schools on rails to children living in remote areas with students attending classes for five days straight before being given three weeks of homework until the train's rotation returned. Apparently the school cars registered near perfect attendance with students who went on to traditional schools and universities excelling. These were retired in 1967 with over 4,000 students having received their education on the rails by then.

This is an abandoned passenger train. It appears to have been parked where it is now for a very long time, but you can still see how beautiful it once was, with a little imagination. Thanks for stopping by. All comments are appreciated.

Tied onto the AZER inbound the 5 pack of FMI's GP38's from the first train charge the steep hill bound for the mill in Morneci. There is no easing into this hill, it goes from a rather flat yard/interchange with the AZER right into the steep 5 plus percent grade.

Have a nice day~

I stepped out the door, feeling the crisp air against my skin as I admired the fit of my new Hardyy jumpsuit from Hoodlem. It was sleek, stylish, and the deep navy color made me feel like I could take on anything the day threw at me. The fabric hugged in all the right places, giving me the confidence I needed.

As I strolled down the sidewalk, the sounds of the city bustling around me, something caught my attention—a mouth-watering aroma wafting through the air. The smell of sizzling meats, spices, and something fresh, like cilantro and lime. My stomach rumbled, and without thinking, I turned towards the source.
