Got this picture right outside a bus stop in Arlington, VA. Got some LE light trails from two buses and other various automobiles at night.

They didn’t really know where they were going.
It was their very first walk together… just a simple desire to escape, to explore a quiet place, hand in hand.
Hearts still shy, yet already in sync, they walked in silence, letting the leaves crunch softly beneath their feet.
Then suddenly, something caught their attention.
A sound? A shadow? A sign from the universe, maybe...
Even the little bunny🐰 stopped in its tracks, curious,almost like it sensed this moment was different.
A shared pause, a gentle shiver,
the first page of a beautiful story yet to be written...

5 minutes after I picked a new Lee ND grad I had to make a pit stop at Elliott Bay. Ended up being a few minutes late to meeting some friends, but I can't help myself from playing with new toys.

This young lady with pink hat held us for 14 minutes on a stretch of road works south of Kaikoura. It was badly damaged by earthquakes 2 years ago and recent storms. Taken from the front passenger seat but we didn't stop for a photo :)

A lane down the side of a factory shed, with double boom gates and a cyclone fence on the other side. The morning sun is shining softly on the weeds growing along the cyclone fence.
The Carolina wren stops to pose, having just delivered some old pine needles to the new nest (see previous photo). Backyard bird..

I'm going to be off for awhile, I'm taking a break and heading to the rugged coast of Maine, my "home away from home". I'll catch up with everyone when I return.

Footsteps lost to snow,
Nature’s call, a quiet plea,
Stop, breath in silence.
Yes! At last the rain has stopped here in Aberdeenshire. Many roads are still impassable - fields are like lakes - and some roads and bridges have been damaged or washed away. Many homes flooded and and power cuts too. The rain has changed to a deep freeze tonight, with ice and a promise of snow to come. It is an 'interesting' start to the year!. We have surpassed the highest ever recorded rainfall for the whole month ... I wonder what delights are still in store!

The chrysanthemum shot was taken last March, and the raindrops are more elegant than the pounding soaking that has marked this month ;o)
I thought it was interesting in having a flattened effect where foreground and background are roughly equal in visual impact.
