I made this bar stool from butternut and curly maple then attempted to paint ivy climbing all over it.
The Pinwheel stool is designed to interlock with other stools to form versatile seating and low tables. See more original designs at jhgdesign.blogspot.com/
We bought a pair of these stools from a local Austin shop called Homegirls. I have no idea who manufactured them, but they're stamped "MADE IN DENMARK" on the underside. They have really nice contoured plywood tops.
I suspect this piece's design was "inspired" by Danish designer Poul Kjaerholm's PK33 stool, made by Fritz Hansen:

This stool, or tabouret, is about 50 years old. I thiought mosaic it would be easy. But not.
The wood kep working and the grout kept breaking.... Now it is allright.
A sewing stool which belonged to my great-grandmother, apparently it dates from the end of the 19th Cent. Until last week it still had its original green chenille cover and trim, very fragile and too battered for me to feel comfortable about using. However a friend of mine is an upholsterer and she recovered the top with a linen/cotton mix from the Rouenneries line by French General. I love it, I moved in and it's now a functioning piece of furniture again! Not strictly speaking sewing, but definitely stash usage!

Stool ball is a reconstruction of a medieval bat and ball game that was probably the ancestor of both baseball and cricket. (We know stool ball existed, and we have an idea what some of the aspects of the game were, but no one knows what the actual rules were back then, so this had to be a reconstruction using what little we do know.) It is great fun, and folks in Wyewood play it a few times a year at our socials as well as at our summer events. Occasionally we even play it indoors. ;) (The ball is very soft.)
A primitive balayong taburete / stool
Estimate: PHP 30,000 - 40,000
Last quarter, 19th century
Cebu
Balayong wood
48 x 61 x 61 cm (19 x 24 x24 in)
Made from highly prized balayong wood, a type of indigenous rosewood, this primitive taburete or bangkito is rare and fancier than most humble three-legged stools used for seating during meals, reading periodicals, or leisurely conversations in and out of the house. The seat is engraved with a large 12-petal flower or sunburst motif radiating from the center, with twisted rope and scallop patterns around the edges. Before the halfway mark down the splaying round tapered legs are fan swirl rosettes carved beautifully on the visible faces, while stretchers are tenoned through the inside and joined to a central cylindrical finial; legs end in seemingly delicate horse hooves.

Pigeons
They paddle with staccato feet
In powder-pools of sunlight,
Small blue busybodies
Strutting like fat gentlemen
With hands clasped
Under their swallowtail coats;
And, as they stump about,
Their heads like tiny hammers
Tap at imaginary nails
In non-existent walls.
Elusive ghosts of sunshine
Slither down the green gloss
Of their necks in an instant, and are gone.....
