Stools in my living room in the mid day winter sun.
Tallinn, January 2015.
I had to step into the garage before heading out on my Thursday Walk, and I was so taken by the light that I fired off a couple of frames. Which was both clever and foolish. Clever because I rather like this shot, and foolish because I didn't bother to check the battery -- so my little X10 went toes up while I was framing the first photo taken on the walk.
this stool long ago lost it's cover and the padding underneath was disintegrating between our feet and the cat's attentions. we started covering the mess up with a baby quilt, when i realized i could recover it with patchwork. i use the term "recover" loosely as we mostly staple-gunned the heck out of it. this has been a LONG time in coming. i'm really happy with the way it turned out, maybe tomorrow i'll get decent shots of it in the living room!
Yeah, those seats look a little worn already, but let's just hope we can chalk that up to the light hitting them in some sort of odd way! The high counter/bar thingy is kind of odd, but I guess it's a good place to pull up a stool and watch people doing odd things while you eat!

"This was my spot on the corner; complete with my traveling stool from home. Every now & then I would
sit down....but began to feel guilty, and not too sweet, when I saw those out of breath looks on some of
the runner's faces after making their way up that hill!"

"Pretty silly of me though...'cause they were in their element....and had no need or desire, as a matter of
fact, for a little 'ol stool like outta shape, non-running me!" tee hee

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN--Wooden-top stools are a beautiful mix of wood and steel. The stools are adjustable and can be raised or lowered with a simple spin.
The first piece of IKEA that I ever assembled: a BEKVAM stool. I managed to get one side on the wrong way around on the first go. Currently it is masquerading as my bedside table, but it has been very useful for changing light bulbs and getting to the top of cupboards.
