A perfect evening. The guests are seating themselves, the fondue oil is reaching an optimal temperature, the scallops have come off the ice and I am driving, five minutes from the house. Then this happens.

Tattered and torn but still flying. If you can't remember who we fought, remember who fought for you. Have a happy forth and don't eat too much BBQ..;)
I have to work. My boss said, if you want off just let me know. So, I thought about it and asked off. He's like, aw Jim, we really need you. You're a strong part of the team..blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I go in today and I'm like, where's Louis, my boss. Oh, He's on Vacation!! Can you believe that. Hump!
This young hairy woodpecker is still trying to get the hang of walking on a tree branch. At least he's got a good grip! I suppose he could just be playing around and pretending to be a sloth too.
Still und leise fand dieser zauberhafte Moment, unterhalb des Pfaffensteins am Samstagmorgen statt. To get a good in-flight photo. Time is running out as these little birds are starting to leave; and not sure how tropical storm Nicholas, which is heading our way, will affect their migration.
The sun just rises over the top of hill and illuminates 42073 as it departs Lakeside station on a perfectly still Lake Windermere.

As per usual, when I set out to work on a theme, I end up with a bunch of ideas and far too many photos... Most I discard but there are still some I like so much and am so proud of that it saddens me to put aside. So, hoping my friends will bear with me, I've decided to post this one, too, which I did not submit to the group but thought it was worth a glance...
“Life’s most precious moments are not all loud or uproarious. Silence and stillness has its own virtues.”
