Shot on the same day and the previous image. On our way back to our camp. So much smoke from forest fires.
You can see a few trout rising (the rings on the water surface)
Morning sunrise and very high water on foggy Cottage Lake after a few days of heavy rain.

Still standing with a lean - this old farmhouse deserves more respect but think it days will be delegated to housing raccoons, skunks or other vermin!
Happy Mono Monday!

STILLNESS
A deep, abyssal silence followed the furious snowstorm that had struck down the river valley, the surrounding forest and our modest creaking cabin.
This sudden and strange silence calmed my mind, as if it had been under the influence of a Magician, an Enchantress. An absolute tranquility that imposed on me a moment of contemplation, improbable otherwise. In me, a feeling imposed itself more and more clearly: that of this unspeakable bond which unites us, us the living beings, with our planet, with our origins, with the Universe…
…in deep silence.

Time stands still,
So does my love for you
We drift further away
But our feelings remain true

A still life created by a wooden box left behind and taken over by the wind and sand.
Spotted during a walk on the beach on Vlieland.

“Seek out a tree and let it teach you stillness.”

Wisdom comes with the ability to be still. Just look and just listen. No more is needed. Being still, looking, and listening activates the non-conceptual intelligence within you. Let stillness direct your words and actions.

An old lady, but for her owners she`s still the queen of the sea :-)
Some of my glass bottles are still in the box, never found a real spot for them yet so thought this was a good frame for Glass Bottles.
