In honor of New Year’s Eve, let’s throw back to December of 2006, when we performed a custom audio, video, and lighting installation on the VUE Ultra Lounge H2 Hummer limousine. For interior tunes, we installed a Kenwood head unit with remote controls, five Diamond Audio amps, two Diamond Audio 15-inch subs, and five sets of mid and high speakers. To bring the party outside, we added an exterior underbody all weather audio system, as well as underbody lighting. We even added eight LCD screens, some to be watched from inside, and others to be seen from outside of the vehicle (check out the sunglasses in the exterior shot). Some time ago, we sold and installed a subwoofer and an amp in this customer’s Jeep Wrangler. Unfortunately, he recently experienced a component failure that was causing static in his subwoofer. But because we sold the system and performed the installation, we were able to cover his entire repair under warranty; parts, labor, and all. And an hour later, we had him back on the road with a new part, enjoying his tunes as usual.

We’re excited to share this Transformation Tuesday, from the team at our North Dixie/Stereo-in-Dash location! This Ford Transit cargo van belongs to a Dayton-area triathlete who loves his music. So we converted the boring bare interior into this monster setup with a custom wall housing eight JL Audio 12W3 subs and a custom amp rack with shelves. This installation also utilizes JL Audio 6W3 Mid-Bass drivers, JL Audio C3 Component speakers, the JL Audio Fix 82 (to preserve and enhance the original factory radio), and a pair of Deka Intimidator AGM batteries. This is already shaping up to be an amazing road trip and race-support rig, and we can’t wait to see (and hear) the finished product!

A wolf in sheep’s clothing? This Audi S8 might look like a tame luxury sedan, but with a 605hp turbocharged 4.0L V8, it’s a rocket! Fortunately, the owner of this Audi S8 need not worry about speeding tickets, thanks to the radar detector that was recently installed by the team at our West Carrollton store.

Our friends at Prestige Pressure Washing Dayton brought us this sweet Silverado, stating that the trailer lights don’t work. Since they pull a trailer every day, this was a big problem! After some careful troubleshooting, we found this severely corroded connector. We eliminated the damaged plug and installed a new 7-way trailer connector in the stock location. A wolf in sheep’s clothing? This Audi S8 might look like a tame luxury sedan, but with a 605hp turbocharged 4.0L V8, it’s a rocket! Fortunately, the owner of this Audi S8 need not worry about speeding tickets, thanks to the radar detector that was recently installed by the team at our West Carrollton store.

Can you hear me now? Jeeps aren’t exactly known for being the ideal acoustic environment. But the music-loving owner of this rugged Jeep Wrangler wants to hear his tunes, even while driving with the top removed and the doors dropped. So the team at our West Carrollton store installed a Kenwood eXcelon CD receiver with Bluetooth, two sets of Kenwood eXcelon speakers, and a JL Audio RD amplifier to crank out an abundance of quality tunes that sound great, at any speed!

We’re excited to share this Transformation Tuesday, from the team at our North Dixie/Stereo-in-Dash location! This Ford Transit cargo van belongs to a Dayton-area triathlete who loves his music. So we converted the boring bare interior into this monster setup with a custom wall housing eight JL Audio 12W3 subs and a custom amp rack with shelves. This is already shaping up to be an amazing road trip and race-support rig, and we can’t wait to see (and hear) the finished product!

We saw lots of great things, in the Kicker booth at CES last week, including their brand new demo vehicle, a Dodge Ram ProMaster City passenger van. This van is stocked with a dozen Kicker L7QB8 loaded aluminum subwoofer enclosures, in a custom rack, and is powered with 5000 watts of Q-Class amplification! But that’s not all! Do you have a “dream car”? Our boss, Zack, had always dreamed of owning a 10th Anniversary Mazda RX-7. And though it took a long time to find one, when given the chance to buy one of only 1500 ever made, he jumped on it. And while the car is awesome and was definitely worth the wait, the audio system sounded like it was from 1988 (because it was), so Zack has been busy making some upgrades!
