"My dear old friend, take me for a spin
Two wolves in the dark, running in the wind
I'm letting go, but I've never felt better
Passing by all the monsters in my head
I move slow and steady
But I feel like a waterfall
Yeah, I move slow and steady
Past the ones that I used to know"

Ready, Steady, 'GrOw'!....seems the January snow had an unusual effect on the fungi in my local park, Trentham Gardens. I wouldn't be at all surprised if one of these days we actually see a Trentham fairy sitting on the top of one of the caps...they like to move around the park when no one is looking! :))
The lake, seen in the background, is frozen over. A pretty but cold walk around the lake that day!

Hand held LE taken with difficulty on Crowden clough, kinder scout Peak District Derbyshire, not a shot I'd normally take, but not too bad
Recently I started a new series on a subject that has always fascinated me. Surprising compositions in the everyday, a special view of buildings, lines made abstract. I hope the intention comes across. The name of the new series is Lines and planes.
This is a fine example of everyday life, often overlooked, now made abstract.

I didn't pick this little flower but with a slight breeze I couldn't get it to stay in my field of focus so I held on to him and I actually liked the image. It gives you a good sense of scale.
I did a little bit of dodging over the petals to make them stand out more.
Little Egret trying to grab a damsel or dragonfly off the branch it did get it, (you can just make it out a bit faint due to large crop) - Norfolk
Many thanks to all those who fave or comment always very much appreciated

... painters at work at my house ... I'm inviting them in to drink a cup of coffee or tea, but this is what I see in front of my window most of the day ...

This lady, not one of our group, was taking photos of the Gulls at Half Moon Bay on Saturday evening.
I will be back after picking up the kids from school to catch up.
Legend has it that he showed up more than twenty years ago for an interview, sat down to draw a detail, and never left.
He's talented. He's cool, calm and collected. And he is always that way.
Have yourself a steady day.
So I was walking back into the house with my camera and saw this snail on the path. Crouching down as low as I could get, I took several photographs... and then realised my neighbour was stood watching me with a curious look :-/.
Hopefully it's not just me that enters a 'zone' when I have my camera in my hands!
