What do fuchsia and yoga mats have to do with health? Staying healthy for me these days is choosing to stop multi-tasking and be fully present. Yoga is training my body to slow down and stretch and photography is helping me see and savor beauty in the small things--like these fuchsia from my garden. I try to always have small vases of our garden blooms around the house.
Daily, purposeful walks help keep me healthy. As well as avoiding processed foods, limiting sugar, eating lots of fruits and vegetables, taking vitamins and supplements and not owning a microwave.
Macro Mondays-Staying Healthy
Stu and I go to the gym as a regular part of our health regime. We were there this morning and I took a photo of one of the pieces equipment I work out on. This shows the weight sizes of one of the pieces of equipment.

This is a small bottle of Vit D3 ( cholicalciferol) tablets . I take these everyday on the advice of the MS Society UK .This is because there is growing evidence to support the theory that low Vit D Levels is implicated in Multiple Sclerosis

Ezekiel 37 ESV
The Valley of Dry Bones
The hand of the Lord was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones. And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. And he said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, you know.” Then he said to me, “Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the Lord.”

As a born-again Christian, I find being in the Word, preferably daily, keeps me spiritually and mentally healthy, which keeps me as physically healthy as I can be!
This is a 3" square portion of my iPad Mini opened to the YouVersion Bible app. This was one of the sermon subjects yesterday I watch online!
I use my silly little 3" square paper frame I cut out to help keep me in line for this group!
Happy MACRO MONDAYS ya'll! And may God bless you! I appreciate your views and faves, but I only reciprocate on your comments. I can't keep up otherwise. Thanks again all!
The one worked out great for this week. I have Coeliac Disease and cannot eat gluten, a crumb can leave me ill in bed for days. Anyway we went Whitby in North Yorkshire earlier this week and I got gluten free fish and chips from Quayside, it had this wonderful little cocktail stick with gluten free wrote on in it! I also own a Coeliac website, Coeliac Sanctuary, producing travel cards and wristbands, so when I saw the topic I knew my photo would just HAVE to revolve around gluten somehow!
I hope, one per day might keep the doctor away :-)

What can be healthier than that?
No, it's not an extracted eyeball or a deathstar. Those aren't healthy.
The sheen is the result of rinsing the frost off a frozen blueberry. It starts to glaze up again, but clear.
for Macro Mondays, staying healthy. The main thing I do conscientiously to stay healthy is drink lots of water.
Also plenty of fresh air, lots of fruit and veg, no medication (but I didn't know how to photograph any of those in macro).
This weeks Macro Mondays theme is Staying Healthy.
In my attempt to stay healthy, I Consume the Galaxy daily.
Some of you who have seen my earlier submissions know that I take a ‘mature’ multivitamin everyday in hopes of delaying my demise. This is that multivitamin.
I know what you are thinking. You’re thinking ‘Edd, this isn’t a vitamin pill, you’ve lost your marbles. Those supplements you take didn’t work. Time to put you in a home.’
You would be mistaken. This is a pic of my mature multivitamin dissolved under hot water and lit with ultraviolet light. The colors that you see are caused by the various minerals fluorescing under the ultraviolet light. The purple outline around the pill is the ultraviolet light being reflected off of the white china plate that is containing the water. If you look closely at the pile of ingredients in the center, you can see a few air bubbles rising from the bottom. I thought the whole thing had a very cosmic, or ’galaxy like’ look to it. Hence the title. Huh. Maybe it is time to put me in a home.
