Staying Healthy.

The photo is of a guide for the food plan I follow. Food is assigned points that you keep track of.

Taking up a relaxing hobby that brings beauty into the world, such as butterfly gardening, is a great way to stay healthy. It is rewarding every time I step into the backyard and see the large variety and quantity of butterflies throughout butterfly season.

 

It is true that I am slowing down a bit with raising monarchs, they are doing so well on their own in the yard right now that they keep the milkweed in short supply. Even with taking short breaks, I expect to raise three hundred or more before the end of the year.

 

I still have plenty of food supply for the others I raise. So I have giants, pipevine, sulfurs, gulf fritillaries and zebra longwings caterpillars in protective custody along with a few monarchs and queens.

 

Many of you know that I collected queen eggs recently. Most of them have pupated, so in about ten days there will be a lot of queens in the yard for the monarchs to chase:)

I eat rice for my meals at least once a day because I was born and grew up in a country in which people eat rice as the main part of the meal. As a child, I loved "White Rice" but hated "Red Rice."

However, now, I've realised Red Rice is much healthier than White Rice. I heard about its health benefits such as preventing diabetes and heart disease, lower high cholesterol and, many more.

So, I decided to reverse what I used to be.

Stay healthy with a natural sugar substitute, Carob Syrup from the carob seed. Used in chocolates and other yummy stuff. :)

& if tea can't help, it's a serious problem, haha! :)

If you like to take pictures of nature, you have great chances to stay physically and mentally healthy :)

Every day, I pass over a few kilometers by shooting the nature.

We should always wash blueberries or any fruit before eating them. I do that adding vinegar to the water.

What a great theme this week on Macro Monday's "Staying Healthy". For me staying healthy is using your common sense and eating the right stuff. Honest and healthy products made by Mother Nature.

Getting my 8,000 steps a day to "Stay Healthy". It should be 10,000, but I'll get there!

I had to use small strawberries to keep within the 3" limit. I assume they are just as healthy despite the small size!

 

In a lettuce, part of my everyday salad. Don't stray from the right road. 😉
