Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and this week it is also an orange day at the awesome Looking Close on Friday Group. And if you follow my « adventures » on Flicker, you may know that, last week I mixed up the dates and themes and I was sure orange was a theme for last Friday. I have no other excuses than the fact that this is sooooo « me ». Yes, I’m a very disorganized soul and I’m getting easily distracted. But dont you worry: I’m pretty much sure I have other assets, just ask my husband and you will see ;-)….
So lucky for me, i did several concepts for the blue vs orange theme and this way I can show you another picture for this theme. I hope it will be accepted, even if i took it last week. If it gets removed, dont worry, there is always another week and another theme. The Looking Close on Friday Group is awesome and the themes are always very inspiring :-).

RHS Hyde Hall, Rettendon, Essex
Over many years I have posted images taken at RHS Hyde Hall and this is a continuation of a series called ‘A Day in the Life’. As the title suggests I’m posting what I think are the best photographs taken on that particular day.
This is the first day I have been able to stay out for any length of time since my illness which occurred last May. The weather was perfect, all good.

Another from the first of two early mornings during the week
Not sure what I was expecting to find, as I've not been out with the camera for months now
The tide height was low and what little colour there was disappeared before sunrise even appeared
I'd gone with the intention of trying to get to grips with the new camera. Im not the greatest when it comes to technology but the very kind young man at Wex Newcastle assured me, the tech stuff isn't the be all and end all when it comes to capturing a photograph.
I had intended to give him an excellent review for his customer service but I couldn't even fathom out how to do that.
So I'll put it here, wonderful help and guidance, no pushy sales talk and all the time in the world for the numerous daft questions I was asking

Shortly after the colour had disappeared, the sea fret rolled in and I'd almost given up hope of capturing anything worth a post
I said to Ken I'll give it another half hour or so
Then from know where the light began to crack through small slits in the cloud, casting some beautiful defused light
I took multiple long exposures of the dreamy scene, capturing the posts which are positioned to the right of the pier
It was good to be back out again, although I'm sure it's going to be a steep learning curve (just as well I have a very kind hubby) :)
In times like these we all need to earn to stay centered and watch our lifestyle and choices to stay healthy. We have been very lucky in our Atlantic Canada area to be practically virus free, but I am not naïve enough to believe it will stay that way forever. So take good care everyone!!

There’s always somebody giving it full throttle on the dance floor. After a few beers it’s amazing how you become John Travolta, joining every dance move you can remember seeing into a chaotic whirl where you take no prisoners, and staying alive becomes the motto of every other punter trying avoid you out swinging limbs. Well that’s the way I remember it, now look back at the photo.
