The Antwerp Central Station, also known as Middenstatie (Middle station) or Spoorwegkathedraal (Railroad Cathedral), was first used in 1905. The structure is made up from a steel platform covering and a stone station building in an eclectic style. Recently, the station was completely renovated and in 2007 a tunnel underneath the station and a part of Antwerp was opened, reverting the station’s status as a terminus where are all trains have to turn back. In 2009, the American magazine Newsweek chose the Antwerp Central Station as the fourth most beautiful train station in the world.

This image is a bit more cluttered with people and objects than I would have liked but then again its a busy railway station . The train station in Toledo in Spain did I feel warrant a photograph it looks l more like a Moorish palace than somewhere to board a train.

The Toledo railway station was designed by architect Narciso Clavería y de Palacios in the Neo-Mudéjar style The station was opened in 1919 . It was designed to echo the historic architecture of the city. The central section is flanked by two side naves, one of which is adjacent to the clock tower, which imitates the style of Toledo church towers.

The station has been declared a Property of Cultural Interest and classified as a monument.

Angel Road station was closed in 2014 and moved 600 meters south and called Meridian Water.

The station, designed by Otto Wagner, went into operation in June 1899 as part of the Vienna Stadtbahn (Wiener Stadtbahn). Today it is a station on the U4 underground line.

"The Vienna Stadtbahn [...] was a rail-based public transportation system operated under this name from 1898 until 1989. Today, the Vienna U-Bahn lines U4 and U6 and the Vienna S-Bahn (commuter rail) run on its former lines."*

The Stadtbahn "is one of the main works of the architect Otto Wagner, who not only uniformly designed the substructure and all building structures such as retaining walls, lining walls, bridges, viaducts, tunnel portals and stations, but also all the associated ticket and luggage counters, floor coverings, railings, lifts, grilles, gates, furniture, water pipes and heating and lighting fixtures. The infrastructure has been largely preserved and is one of the city's sights as an overall work of art in the transitional style between late historicism and early art nouveau. Today, all the facilities are listed monuments."**
