If you are ever able to see an exhibit of Chiaharu Shiota's work, I strongly recommend it. She's super creative and interesting.
As expensive as Zurich was, there were some amazing modern art exhibits in the city and this was definitely one of them!
I believe this exhibit was part of the KÖNIG GALERIE

Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is a state park in Pacific City, Oregon, United States. Cape Kiwanda is on the Three Capes Scenic Route, which includes Cape Meares and Cape Lookout. Hiking to the top of Cape Kiwanda allows views of Nestucca Bay to the south and Cape Lookout to the north.
A sea stack, named Chief Kiawanda Rock (note different spelling than Cape Kiwanda) is located 1⁄2 mile southwest of the cape. It is one of three features along the Oregon Coast that are called "Haystack Rock," though the one in Cannon Beach is more widely known.
The main attraction of the park is Trout Brook Falls, but I like the scene a hundred yards downstream better.

When it comes to independent cinema the State Theatre in North Hobart stands alone in Tasmania. Only the art deco Star in Launceston is comparable. www.flickr.com/photos/luminosity7/49077130843/in/album-72...
Like the post office across the street it opened in 1913 as the North Hobart Picture Palace showing silent movies. The Spanish flu of 1918 and competition from theatres closer to the city centre forced it to close in 1920. It reopened in 1935 and has shown films ever since under a number of different guises.
Since 2019 it has been owned by the Reading Cinemas chain. The key to its success today is that it operates 11 screens in small rooms, allowing for a wide range of movies to be shown at once. The State also operates a bookshop with an extensive range of books about the movies.
The State Theatre originally opened as the Lyric Theater in the early 1900s. After suffering several fires it would later be rebuilt at the State Theatre. It is now home to the Traverse City Film Festival (founded by Michael Moore). Sadly it has been closed since the COVID outbreak last year.

The bear just kept loafing my way, until getting about 50 yards from me -- when I started making some noise to scare it away.
Moments before taking this shot I yelled something like, "Hey, you there! Why not go another way, please?" Or maybe I just blubbered, I can't remember...
Rock Island Train No. 4, the GOLDEN STATE, curves off CRI&P trackage onto the Union Pacific at Topeka, Kansas, on February 27, 1965. The lead unit is crossing a yard track serving a small yard on the station's south side. E7A 640, AB6 751, and E7B 638B lead the day's train. This was an extra-fare SP/RI train operating between Los Angeles and Chicago. As the train passes under NW Topeka Boulevard, a crewman inspects the cars on the sharp curve––photo by Joe McMillan.
Markers in the Canyon tell boaters when they cross the Wyoming-Montana State Line on Bighorn Lake. Though still in Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area on either side, fishing and boat regulations are different for each state. One needs the appropriate fishing license depending on which side of the line they fish

Calm is a state that begins within, but it’s highly influenced by external factors. Be mindful of the power of those influences to better preserve the calm. They can’t always be changed but even acknowledging them improve our state of mind.
We found real beauty of Fall in the Ferdinand State Forest. It was mid-morning and very quiet. We found a bench near the lake and enjoyed the serenity and seeing two eagles soar over the lake and land in a tree on the opposite side. I did not realize the beauty of this shot until I got home, definitely the shot of the trip.

In my opinion, this is the best overlook in America. By this time of the morning, the canyon wall were catching enough sun to reflect in the river below.
Every intrusion into their airspace caused a reaction in the Osprey nest. Here you can see the female adult was chirping her warning and all the juveniles were looking to see what was causing the stir.

A long-term presence in an environment/space makes us adjust to, familiar with and even turn a blind eye to ourselves. Unfortunately, we feel it should be like this.
However, there will be some time, we get shocked suddenly. It seems that there is an invisible force which controls ourselves in a parasitic way. Gradually, the self-awareness is eroded.
Occasionally, we begin to doubt ourselves, having no confidence in ourselves. Thus, we begin to doubt our cognitive.
The work is intended to express such a state.
The Shwe Inn Thein Pagodas (aka Shwe Indein Pagodas) lie on a low ridge some 6 km (3.7 mi.) west-southwest of the Phaung Daw U Pagoda, which is on the western side of Inle Lake near its southern end. We approached the village of Inn Thein (aka Indein) by long-tail boat along the narrow waterway seen here. At Inn Thein we left our boats and made a 0.75 km (0.5 mi.), 100 m (328 ft.) climb along a covered walkway to the pagodas which are 410 km (255 mi.) north of Yangon in Shan State, Myanmar.
