First trial of a startrail.
About 15 pics with 30s exposure stacked together with the GIMP startrail-script.
Long exposure noise reduction was turned on, which led to some seconds between the shots for saving - can unfortunately be seen without zooming in, so I stopped stacking.
Canon 50mm/1.8 used.
By the way: While looking for the GIMP script, I stumbled over a little startrail-program; can alos handle darkframes:
The moon illuminates, the lake calms down and the clouds get all funky.
Would you rather see the movie?

Star Trails at Nubble Lighthouse, Maine. This is a stack of about 20 images shot over a period of half an hour. The trails did not perfectly connect well as I made a rookie mistake of including a 2 second delay in my remote timer. Well, opportunity to do better the next time around! Also, I did not remove the flight trails in the picture. This was on purpose (well, laziness too but mostly on purpose). I figured I'm capturing light movement in this photograph, why not include the light movement caused by flights too!

f2.8 15 minutes exposure (this was quite under exposed so I increased the contrast)

When things are on the go, We shall not stop things for us...
Otherwise it leaves trails...
Just like when we hold the camera fixed to the tripod, the stars which appears to move in the night leaves the trails...
