Image generated using 51 shots of 3 mins exposure shot over night. If you have a canon camera you must try Magic Lantern, you don't need to buy intervalometer. Besides intervalometer, magic lantern adds many more feature like trap focus, upto 9 AEB shots for HDR etc.

Problem: Obviously bumped the tripod numerous times.

Céu com nuvens finas, poluição luminosa alta, tudo pesando contra a fazer alguns registros do céu. Mas não para um belo startrail, que é o tipo de fotografia em que ao utilizar longas exposições com a camera em um tripé fixo, você consegue capturar o movimento aparente das estrelas no céu, devido a rotação da terra. Quanto maior o tempo de exposição maior o "arco" criado pelas estrelas. Nesse caso em especifico foram 37 fotos com 1 minuto de exposição, totalizando 37 minutos de trail.

A região em evidencia é o sul celeste, com o futuro prédio do CEFET compondo a imagem. Nesse caso foram 37 fotos com 1 minuto de exposição, totalizando 37

Just an experiment =)

Took advantage of being out in the middle of nowhere in Manitoba, away from any source of light pollution, and got the star trails thing mostly figured out. The only thing I screwed up was the hyperfocal distance so that the trees in the foreground were in focus.

 

238 exposures, 30 seconds each, using the interval timer in the D200; equivalent to about 2 hours. ISO100, f/2.8. The trees in the foreground were lit for a fraction of one shot using my flashlight.
