My first attempt at star trails and maybe not one for the pixel peepers among you. Taken with the 10-22mm and combined from 72 shots of 30 seconds each. Wide angle leads to distortion on the building as well. Unfortunately starry nights are the coldest! This building is lit up from street lights on the edge of the village. Thus lots of light pollution and white balance all over the place. I used the free star trails software on line. It was relatively quick and easy to use. Hopefully next time, it will turn out a bit better. The house central heating has also left a plume of vapour - don't worry, the house is not on fire. Each shot was ISO 1250 and F7.1 to get the exposure balanced as far as possible.
About 25 minutes of exposure right after the sunset as you can see from the orange clouds on the horizon.
In the middle of the frame it's easily recognizable the Gran Paradiso south face

17 frame with 300 sec per frame . SStacked with startrails program then a multiply layer in PS.
120 exposures, each one zoomed in a tiny amount and exposure decreased to create groovey spiral effect…?! Foreground landscape added in PS all shot from same location.

It's tough to compose startrails when you're pointing into the direction of the milky way. It's just so bright for the sensor. In order to create the startrails, I needed to export the jpg images with a -2.5 exposure. I overlayed the startrail image over a brighter image of the boat. Canon 5DM4 with Sigma Art 14mm. Post-processing in LRC, PS CC, and StarStax.
Happy shortest day!
The moment of solstice falls tonight, December 21st, but unusually it's not until tomorrow morning that the solstice's closest sunrise will be celebrated at Stonehenge- seen here silhouetted by glow from the lights of Larkhill Camp.
202 frames layered in StarStaX from many hundreds captured; the remaining frames were lost to lens fogging. Exif shown is for a single frame.

This photo isn't an assembly and isn't nearly processed. Isn't fog or an filter; It's the strange and devastating effect of the objective front lens covered by dew ...
