New year's dawn for 2014 began with sultry conditions and rough seas locally (the water was swelling over the posts at times) . I hope to make the most of a couple of weekends away in the first few months of the year before settling down to look after #2 due in April :)
Calgary has had a real warm spell and morning photography is not so bad, Sunday morning was so warm I didn't even wear my snow pants:)
Start Point, South Devon. Conditions were not up to much, so I had a play to see what I could do. 10 Stop Kase Wolverine filter used.

P&W 4301 leads NECR 611 south up Belchertown Hill towards Palmer. This is 4301's last stretch before heading north for the paint booth, where it will be painted into Genesee & Wyoming's "candy corn" paint scheme.
“Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just... start.”

The mushroom season in northern germany starts with porcelain fungus for me. This one i found in the Sachsenwald (saxonian forrest). The Sachsenwald is one of my favorite places, because of the many beeches. Most of them have been cut and replaced by conifers over the last centuries. But conifers don't belong here. The highest biodiversity of mushrooms is found in woods with beeches and oaks in my region.

Sympecma fusca, common winter damselfly, It is one of only two species of European dragonflies that overwinter as adult insects. They start flying in February or March, on sunny days, when the temperature reaches 15 ° C. I had never seen so early in the year.
Wonderful golden evening light at the lighthouse with a lively sea. I used a Lee ND filter to get the water effect.

Sometimes to maintain the sacred love space you have to go back to where it all began.
This is where you first told me you loved me. This is where I first told you all my secrets. You kissed me and told me you will always have my back...
Looking back I do not know what I was expecting, but I whatever it was you have exceeded it with no effort.
You are every dream I have ever had and ever dream I will ever have. I love you with my whole heart

This is the Push Button to turn on my Breville Convection Toaster Oven. This is a new one, I replaced my old one after several years of constant use and I would highly recommend this one. My big convection oven heats up the kitchen too much so this has been a great asset.
This photo was shot a few days ago at Prairie Oaks in Central Ohio. If you look closely, you will notice that it is actually a buck starting new antlers.
scene quotidiane a Bologna Interporto, dove la liberalizzazione del traffico si vede: un treno di FER e uno di GTS stanno ultimando le operazioni di terra, mentre un'altra E483 (di NordCargo) a breve si attesterà al suo merci.
of hopefully something new :-)
I've just been attempting to finish my portfolio using blurb..I'm almost there...if only I didn't have the slowest laptop ever!
I must say a massive big thanks to Anand (Rhythm n hues) for all of his hard work on this. I just love this cover.
