The standing stones on top Clent Hills. This is taken after the fog had lifted.
Thought the stones looked as if they were tentatively holding hands!
it appears we now have pulled out of the drought zone and burn bans, now if we can just dry out for a few days.
While these Killdeer were quite a distance away I thought it presented an interesting photo.

Still standing - The old packhorse bridge at Carrbridge, still standing since 1717.
It is the oldest stone bridge in the Highlands, built during 1717 as previousy there was no place to cross the River Dulnain when it was in spate, much to the inconvenience of the locals at that time. It was severely damaged in the 'muckle spate' flood of 1829, leaving it in the state we see today.

Standing In Snow
I was processing this image yesterday with a big smile on my face....this is a beautiful winters image.
Near the village of Leadhills in South Lanarkshire, a group of trees I have shot before but not with as much snow as I had on Saturday. Also had some great light too making for me what is one of my best images.
Hopefully you all like this one:)

Green and red, the county's colours, displayed on a damaged barn. A good metaphor; we're all a bit beaten up, but still standing. Seen near Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.
Standing perhaps after it's original usefulness... We've traveled so many roads over the past three years that it's increasingly hard to find one we haven't been down and sometimes we are going down a road that we think is new to us and then we see something iconic like this silo and realize, yes we have been down this road before! Sometimes though it's a different season or a different direction. Either way, here's to country roads with little to no traffic!
I took this photo a few weeks ago on my visit to high line. This is one of those shots that have been captured to death by many wonderful photographers. But, I just wanted one of my own. Let me know what you think!
Another shot from my trip to Brighton on Sunday. This one is from early on when the starlings were just beginning to arrive. The two guys on paddle boards had an amazing view of the murmuration above them. I was relieved to see that they had their heads covered though. Probably wise in the circumstances. :)

A Santa Fe SD39 locomotive pulls an eastbound train through Woodford in the Tehachapi Mountains of California.
ATSF 1569 was built Santa Fe 4015 by EMD in June 1969. In December 1985, it was rebuilt, renumbered ATSF 1569, and repainted in the "Kodachrome" SPSF merger paint scheme.
Took the local bus down to Beamish then walked back through the woods and cycle track back home. A nice way to spend a few hours. No hurry just a relaxing stroll. Just took my little Fuji so just went handheld.
