Purple Sandpipers on a nice mossy rock the Barnegat Inlet jetty. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park, NJ.
Taking a short break from its comedy routine with the neck of a broken beer bottle, this Crested Cara Cara gave me a nice portrait pose in the grass at the edge of a marsh at Brazoria National Wildlife Reserve near Surfside, Texas.

While standup paddleboarding has its foundations in surfing, as it uses a paddle to propel the board it is technically a paddlesport. There are many types of SUP paddling including surfing, touring, racing, fitness paddling, and SUP Yoga and whitewater standup paddleboarding. SUP is the latest craze in watersports. Taken on the Credit River in Streetsville, On
Almost forgot to post this from October 2nd, Pacific City. Neaqrly 20 surfers that day, but the two on the standup boards were extra fun to watch. They really could surf the waves.
Looks like these stamen are really horny and showing off their masculinity in this yellow columbine. These flowers are common around here. Often, people rip Columbine blue columbine off from the hugh country and plant them in their back yards. They turn yellow soon enough. Were they stressed at high altitude? Perhaps but I prefer them up at altitude.
It seeems that I shot everything but the flowers at Denver Botanic gardens. I decided to make a series of some of my flower shots after looking at my load of unedited captures from my trek with eDDie. While following some of the paths scattered about the Denver Botanic Gardens, I found many spots outside the pavilion where they had flowers fringing paths. Columbines were alongside other ground plantings. Columbines are easily grown in outside gardens in this area. I am posting a botanical series after my extended series of garden environment shot series. Egad, I still have a real load of garden shots to edit. Some at a time.
I supposed I ought to edit some of the flowers that cover Denver's gardens before long. Well, this shows some as a series change. Well, at least this is some of the color I snapped away. Next?
This is yet another from an early summer eDDie trek to the Denver Botanic Gardens. I have passed untold times but never invested my time or ponied up the entrance fee. This path shouts that upkeep at the gardens is far from free, but eDDie bought a season pass so I did another round of sponge bobbing at the right price. Boy, this place is loaded with distractions that were made for me! ...and, did I get distracted.
Trekkers and lookie-loos packed and poked every path and display. There were plants, displays and art in the park everywhere, keeping me abuzz and focusing in to removing background peeps. This shows that I actually got to botanic growies sooner or later. When will I change interests in another series like I usually do? As you can see from my steam, I make treks all over the place, gathering new captures as I can.
Since the Denver Botonic Gardens trek, I have made more treks with eDDie especially to the hills. At least I was able to snag a load of shots on that mellow day. I filled my film card for the first time ever. OK, I was tapped and all in by the time it was filled.
Tulips and other spring flowers seem to grow wild at the Smithsonians serpentine garden on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
I hauled the paint palette to Mac Ag Museum but only made it to the front gate. There, I found the October color in max swing next to the fence post where I set the paint palette left of the heavily laden plum tree. The fence post was already draped by a showy shrub. The leafy branches held the palette as I stood on the post, bottom.
Hey, nobody was focusing in on this feast of color or me fiddling with the paint palette. I always enjoy coming up on something new out here at McIntosh exactly as I found on this excursion! Egad, photographs always get in the way of my treks. Such is the way of my life!
I set out on a trek with the palette that day at the Ag Museum but it turned into a slack day. I was headed down to the McIntosh Lake circle trail but instead carried the palette around to search more shots. I thought I had something here that would pick up the autumn. Though it is ultra dry, we keep praying for rain and some cool. A streak of 80s in October graced us in October. Here Ryan Zinky Dinky has yet to raffle the entire state off to his corporate supporters.
This was a day with dead sky toward the mountains. I originally thought that I better get some exercise but here I am at a standstill. There is always something at McIntosh. I am fighting time poorly spent behind this keyboard and monitor. Amazon and Echo don't want you to get up and move but scientists say that after all their studies on longevity, exercise is the most reliable way to extend life.
