I took you to the flowers,
I took you to the Wood,
I tried to make you happy,
I did everything I could.
I brought you your favorite candy,
I got you your favorite toy,
I tried to make you happy,
I hoped to bring you joy.
But you never even tried,
To smile a little bit,
You crossed your little arms,
you threw a little fit.
I love you every day,
and do everything I can,
Hoping I’ll see you smile,
My little teddy bear named Stan.

"Stan...a very beautiful tall man with blond hair and deep blue expressive eyes. During the whole time we spend with Stan he tries with all his strength not to cry, yet tears fill his eyes and his mouth betrays his struggle." - Barbara Ellen Wood
Stanley was stuck on the stairs due to Lilah's baby gate being closed and Lilah was holding out food to him. This was making him stick his head through the banister to try and reach the food. I had to grab the camera with my newly purchased 35mm f/1.4L.
a wonderful place in Stockholm
Stortorget (Swedish).
The Great Square) is a small public square in Gamla Stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden.
It is the oldest square in Stockholm, the historical centre around which the medieval urban conglomeration gradually came into being.
Today, the square is frequented by tens of thousands of tourists annually, and is occasionally the scene for demonstrations and performances.
It is traditionally renowned for its annual Christmas market offering traditional handicrafts.

For someone who was once embarrassed to be a comic book writer, he sure brought a lot of joy to thousands of people. Including myself. Sure, he didn't do it all alone, he was surrounded by talented people like Kirby and Ditko, and countless others. But you can't take away his contribution to some of the greatest characters in comic book history. RIP Stan
It was pretty hard working with the lighting for this shoot.
I went up to Massachusetts this weekend to attend Dustoff which was held at an old racetrack in Seekonk. It was my first time attending the show and I loved it, such a layed back show with nice cars and good friends. I originally planned on meeting up with Rich Saturday night to shoot in Boston but the weather and traffic made us put it off until after the show. We ended up finding this spot on the way to the show and decided to work with it.
Rich and Stan ended up taking first in their class so a photo shoot was definitely needed!
More coming soon....

my friend lucy and i met stan yesterday at Rubicon Estate (formerly niebaum-coppola) in the Napa Valley. He's normally a tour guide but he was filling in for someone in the cafe. Lucy and I practically had the whole winery to ourselves. We pleasantly discovered that business is slow on a Monday in early March at a winery during a recession/depression. Stan clearly loves what he is doing. He moved up from his job in the Silicon Valley about 7 years ago to pursue his wine hobby year-round. Not only does he get to drink wine every day now, but he gets to drink it ALL DAY! I pressed him about his favorite wine. He hesitated and then said it had to be the Rubicon Edizione Pennino Zinfandel. At least it was yesterday!
Ask for stan if you get up to Rubicon. He knows his stuff and makes you feel right at home.
