Rabbit's favorite game is inching through deep, shady weeds looking for "prey". She keeps it up for an hour or more, moving a yard or so per minute in long twisty loops. Here she's pointing at a gap in the fence that kitties use to sneak into the front yard.
Her game is 'stalk and flush". It's a pointer thing, maybe. It takes pointer-like restraint, that's for sure. She never attacks anyone that she finds.
I finally got a picture of her doing this after two summers trying.
There were a few patches near the edges of the cliffs where the Stalked Conesticks (Petrophile pedunculata) dominated the vegetation. These shrubs, which were about my height, were topped by these beautiful wispy branches in green, yellow, and red. Castle Stalker is beautiful situated on Loch Laich, where it meets Loch Linnhe. It is best seen from the by road to Port Appin.

A flawed image for obvious reasons, and it took quite a bit of exposure adjustment to get it this far. But I like the intensity of this fox and the color on the body (which is close to true), so here it is.
She did eventually pounce, but came up empty.
