NOTE: This is a photograph, taken in a camera, involving an optical pathway. See the EXIF just to the right. It was not taken from the internet, nor created artificially using an AI script. All editing done in flickr photo editor.
I invite fellow flickerites dedicated to real photography to use this note, as well.
This fox appears to be stalking his prey, secretly from the bushes. He licks his muzzle as he spots something tasty. Actually these foxes were kept in an enclosure, and it wasn't feeding time, so I'm not sure what he is really doing.
This photo was taken at the Saarbrucken Zoo in Germany, 2013.
More of the Lovely Luna at playtime sequence. The feather toy was just under the camera- she'll happily stare at it for ages before pouncing. Her eye is slowly returning to normal, clever but mysterious little cream cat...

Castle Stalker is a four-story tower house or keep. It is set on a tidal islet on Loch Laich and is visible from the A828 road about midway between Oban and Glen Coe.
The original castle was a small fort, built around 1320 by Clan MacDougall who were then Lords of Lorn. Around 1388 the Stewarts took over the Lordship of Lorn, and it is believed that they built the castle in its present form around the 1440s. The Stewarts' relative King James IV of Scotland visited the castle, and a drunken bet around 1620 resulted in the castle passing to Clan Campbell. After the castle changed hands between these clans a couple of times, the Campbells finally abandoned it about 1840 when it lost its roof. In 1908 the castle was bought by Charles Stewart of Achara, who carried out basic conservation work. In 1965 Lt. Col. D. R. Stewart Allward acquired the castle and over about ten years fully restored it. Castle Stalker remains in private ownership and is open to the public at selected times during the summer
This was inspired by : "Roadside Picnic" - Arkady and Boris Strugatsky & Stalker (1979) - Andrey Tarkovskiy

This green lynx displays her fall colors in early September as she munches on a yellow crab spider. Both are stalking spiders that use web for climbing and nest building.
This snow leopard stalked his "cell mate" across the entire exhibit and back again. They were both so playful, I could have watched them all day. I was definitely disappointed their white fur did not come across very well in the pictures.
A highly distinctive and characteristic fungi, this is not a true puffball ("gasterid") which is itself a complicated taxonomic scheme, but a stalked puffball, a member of the Calostomataceae family. This especially vibrant specimen here is Calostoma cinnabarinus, which is easily ID'd for it's bright red colors. It also has a gelatinous goo that covers the "stalk" of the puffball and can often be seen surrounding the base of the globose head. This group seems to be readily found in mesic hills and rocky substrate. Calostomataceae. Gunpowder Falls Run, Hereford Quad. Baltimore Co, MD.
