Let us hope 2024 will be a "stacked" lucky year for all. We need it. No war, no climate detour... we need so much luck...

Thank you for your appreciation, Gail

Sea stacks along the Redwood coast north of Ft. Bragg, CA showed well in the morning light on this day in October, 2024.

It`s been a season of rainbows this summer.

Bread stacked on roast beef on emmantal cheese on bread, with butter and mustard layered in-between. And very nice it was too!

Glad they aligned so nicely for this shot :)

Hopetoun Falls in The Otways

I've been very inactive over the last month or so mainly due to the run up to my wedding. My wife and I took our honeymoon in Portugal, I did manage to sneak my camera with my however not wanting to impact my time with my new wife I had to be selective about when and where i could get some opportunities to take some shots. Starting in Fuseta for a few nights we then moved on to Lagos which was absolutely stunning. After a couple of days of hiking and eating well I found some time to get a long exposure session in the morning before we returned to Fuseta. Normally glorious weather turned chaotic as for this imagine I was battling with poor light due to clouded and stormy weather with included a light spray of rain. I managed to get this image at the start of the stacks however due to the weather couldn't move much further. Thanks again for looking and I hope everyone is well.

Taken 9:21-9:29PM, using a Fujifilm X-T5, 16-55mm f/2.8 lens @ f/8 @ 55mm iso 160, 30 sec exp, I stacked 13 images over a 8 minute period and lightened in Photoshop.

Despite developing rain, fireworks were in full swing.

Heavy rains began ~9:30PM. Received nearly half an inch during the next hour.

SWELL Sculpture Festival. 'Stacked Chairs' by Alexander Piperides (Qld)

Stacked Chairs is an assembly of found chairs, portraying a column like structure. Although each chair has its own individual memory and function, they have become dependent on one another; the failure of one chair could result in the failure of the whole system. I would like to think of this similar to our current lives; where we are all at some stage or another, in the midst of various responsibilities, whether intentional or not. (the artist)

I bought this chrysanthemum cluster at a nursery to practice focus stacking. Behind the flowers is a green patterned swath of fabric, but with a blue LED light shining on it. I set the camera to take 80 frames, and blended them with Helicon Focus.
