Five exhaust stacks up to 35 metres high – four of which will be within about one kilometre of each other – will be built and dozens of homes and other properties acquired for the final stage of the $16.8 billion WestConnex toll road linking the M4 and M5.
A stacked cake with 6 cakes, making these cylinders. Fresh flowers on top to match those used at the reception. it looked gorgeous. The side design was copied from the bride's fabric which was corded Chantilly lace. I did brush embroidery first then piped around the outside.
South Stack is famous as the location of one of Wales' most spectacular lighthouses, South Stack Lighthouse. It has a height of 41 metres (135 feet). It has a maximum area of 7 acres.
Until 1828 when an iron suspension bridge was built, the only means of crossing the deep water channel on to the island was in a basket which was suspended on a hemp cable. The suspension bridge was replaced in 1964, but by 1983 the bridge had to be closed to the public, due to safety reasons. A new aluminium bridge was built and the lighthouse was reopened for public visits in 1997. Thousands of people flock to the lighthouse every year, thanks to the continued public transport service from Holyhead's town centre.
There are over 400 stone steps down to the footbridge (and not, as local legend suggests, 365), and the descent and ascent provide an opportunity to see some of the 4,000 nesting birds that line the cliffs during the breeding season. The cliffs are part of the RSPB South Stack Cliffs bird reserve, based at Elin's Tower.
The Anglesey Coastal Path passes South Stack, as does the Cybi Circular Walk. The latter has long and short variants; the short walk is 4 miles long and takes around two hours to complete. Travelling from the Breakwater Country Park, other sites along the way are the North Stack Fog Signal station, Caer y Tŵr, Holyhead Mountain and Tŷ Mawr Hut Circles.

Plan Toys: Stacking Tree
Time stack inspired by viewing Matt Molloys photo stream stacking a lot of photos a style of photography that I would like to experiment a bit more in.
I was reminded on Facebook about the work of Matt Molloy who stacks and lightens landscape shots taken at regular intervals. I happened to have ten consecutive shots from the other day. This is one result from stacking them.
Attempting a long exposure on a cliff edge in high winds, with a tripod with no spikes was challenging. Most of them didn't work out. it was a beautiful day, quiet due to the time of year I guess. I liked this composition the best but feel I wanted a longer exposure. It might work in black and white.

This was taken on 1st September 2013 when I had the opportunity to pop over to Anglesey, North Wales to a location called “South Stack”. It is a 7x HDR image that was processed using photomatix and lightroom.
For more information about South Stack see the Wiki site:
These stacks are at the United States Steel Portage Plant. I was on the pier at Portage Lakefront Park in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
