Rescue team members remove the stabilization collar from the Boeing CST-100 Starliner training capsule, known as Boiler Plate 3, in the water at the Army Wharf at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida on April 16, 2019. NASA and the Department of Defense Human Space Flight Support Office Rescue Division are conducting a search and rescue training exercise using the Starliner trainer over the next several days at the Wharf and in the Atlantic Ocean simulating a rescue in the unlikely event of an emergency. It is the first at-sea exercise with the Starliner training capsule ahead of Boeing’s Crew Flight Test with astronauts targeted for later this year. During normal return scenarios, Boeing's Starliner will land on land in a safe zone of about 15 square miles in the Western United States. Throughout the commercial crew development phases with NASA, Boeing has performed dozens of qualification tests on its parachute and airbag systems simulating conditions on land and in the water. Stabilized soft cheese with a stable and consistent texture when young that becomes creamier at maturity without running. Features a milky, nutty flavour slightly richer than that of single cream Brie.
I've been thoroughly enjoying the Olympus Stylus 1. One of the pleasant surprises has been just how effective the image stabilization is. This photo was shot at 1/20th second, f/2.8, ISO 1,000, and an effective focal length of 300mm … hand-held. Not bad! Reality check though … I'm doubtful that I will be able to regularly repeat this kind of sharpness at this slow of a shutter speed … I'll let you know.
Other good stuff: very nice EVF (same as E-M5), excellent tilt/touch LCD, 28-300mm constant f/2.8 zoom, good IQ, great wireless flash control with popup flash, and essentially the same menu system as the OM-D and PEN cameras.

This is the other half of my hyperstereo setup. At a time when light is sufficient I hold the second camera with my one hand while releasing both cameras by a radio remote trigger with my other hand. The frame stabilization of the zoom lens provides the freedom to shoot without a second tripod which makes a hike - like to this place - a lot easier.

The 2015 Soda Fire burned nearly 280,000 acres in southwest Idaho and southeast Oregon, including nearly 200,000 acres of sage-grouse habitat, portions of 41 grazing allotments, three wild horse management areas, and a popular motorized and non-motorized recreation area. Due to the location of the fire and its effect on federal, state and private lands, a collaborative approach was taken to assess values at risk within the entire burned area. The Soda Fire Emergency Stabilization and Rehabilitation (ESR) plan was the first large scale fire to be planned and implemented following the release of Secretarial Order 3336 – Rangeland Fire Prevention, Management and Restoration.
The collaborative concept was carried forward with the development and implementation of the ESR effort. This level of collaboration which involved US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Idaho Department of Lands (IDL), Idaho Department of Fish & Game (IDFG) and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is not typical of ESR efforts, but has been successful and supported. The Record of Decision was issued by the Boise and Vale Districts on October 21. The plan identified treatments to begin stabilizing the burned area, promote the recovery of native communities, increase perennial grasses, reduce invasive annual species, and restore shrubs and forbs to take the first steps toward the recovery of habitat for the greater sage-grouse. BLM continues to work with our partners through monitoring,
the development of grazing rest and resumption decisions, and adaptive management.

Photograph taken at an altitude of Fifty eight metres at 15:46pm on Friday 5th February 2021, on a rare sunny interlude of an adult Starling (Sturnus Vulgaris)standing on a brick chimney stack off Chessington Avenue in Bexleyheath, Kent.
The common starling or European starling, also known simply as the starling in the British Isles, is a medium-sized passerine bird in the starling family, Sturnidae. It is about 20 cm long and has glossy black plumage with a metallic sheen, which is speckled with white at some times of year. These are noisy, squabbling birds that pack a lot of character and can mimic other birds and sounds.

Beautiful Bikini Model Goddess Shooting Stills & Video at the same time with Nikon D800E & Sony Alpha NEX-6 with its 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 power zoom kit lens in Malibu!
You can see some of the video of the pretty goddess shot with the Sony NEX 6 here:
Was shooting in 60P on the Sony NEX6 and slowing it down to 24P in Adobe Premiere for the slow motion!
The lens pictured on the Sony NEX-6 is the new "pancake" 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 power zoom kit lens. With the crop sensor, the NEX-6 has just about the same field of view as the Nikon D800 at 70 mm, which worked out well! Small and powerful! The Sony NEX-6 gave me better video results than the Canon and Panasonic camcorders I have been using. :) There's better bokeh, and cooler face-finding/tracking focus features for that filmesque feel and shallow depth of field! Plus the NEX has the sony steadyshot image stabilization active mode! The Optical Steady Shot (OSS) seems to work pretty well with the video.
Well, so much for the technology--enjoy the pretty goddess! :)
Shot with the Nikon D800 + 70-200 mm F2.8 Prime! (The 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens--my favorite!!!)
That's Point Dume in the background-hangin' out in Malibu on a 70 degree January afternoon! :)
Anyone who owns the Modern Comfort Kitchen knows the pros and cons of its features. It's a great playscale kitchen for the price and it comes in a variety of colors, it also has lots of space for your doll's kitchen related accessories. The downsides are the lack of realism within the refrigerator, no working drawers, the very unrealistic single basket in the dish washer and the infamous plastic burners in the stove top and the awful sound said stove top makes. One of my biggest issues with the refrigerator was the shelves. They have very wide open slots all along the width and length of the shelves causing instability for the groceries inside. Before I had to put the Re-Ment Fankey Soda bottle on the bottom and have the wine bottle laying down. For a while I was thinking of a solution for this problem. Then it hit me! Barbie(and other dolls) come in shiny plastic covered boxes. These plastic panes are easy to cut into but sturdy enough to stay in place. If you'll notice the slight glare on the second shelf near the whipped cream can and bottled cherries, see how they sit nicely on the plastic instead of falling into the slots. Simply cut to size and add a tiny dot of super glue to the corners of the shelves. If you need to, you can clamp them down to dry in place. It dries very quickly and now you have stabilized shelves!

Rancher, Landowner, and Military Veteran Chuck Merlo stops at his pasture fence to see how the U.S. Department of Agriculture's USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services NRCS Conservation Practice 614 Watering Facility and 516 Livestock Pipeline projects are progressing with active installations that will improve the lives of his cattle by having a ready supply of water in this remote pasture on the C.G. Merlo Ranch in San Saba, Texas, on June 11, 2022.
The pipeline will connect to their freshwater supply line and pipe to troughs for their cattle in distant pastures. Having the water there promotes rotational grazing, eliminates long walks to the pond opposite the ranch, and reduces surface pressure at the edge of the existing pond.
The work begins with locating the existing water and utility lines, then making the first of multiple passes of the trencher to dig down to where the new water pipe will be buried. After junctions and valves are installed, the laid pipeline is inspected, and the trench is filled.
A watering facility features an easy-to-install long-lasting fiberglass trough seen near the main pipeline trench and overflow drainpipe trench. After leveling the ground under the slotted fence, he will slide the trough into a position where cattle can drink from either side of the fence. The supply pipe, float valve, and drain system will be added to continue the installation. While that occurs, Merlo will have wildlife escape ramps made, and then he will install them. Lastly, he will use gravel to fill around the trough to help keep it in place and reduce the erosion from livestock frequently standing in place as they drink from the trough.
Over the years, he has participated in the USDA cost-sharing improvement and financial programs. Multiple programs have helped stabilize the CG Merlo Ranch operation during the drought and the pandemic. Through the USDA NRCS, he is implementing the Conservation Practices number 382 Fence, 516 Livestock Pipeline, and 314 Brush Management. Additionally, the USDA Farm Services Agency FSA has assisted with Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act CARES and the 2014 Farm Bill's Livestock Forage Disaster Program LFP.
