The Myra rock tombs, in Demre, Antalya, Anatolia, Turkey.
Rock tombs on the site of the city of Myra, one of the largest members of the Lycian league, and home of St Nicholas of Myra, of Santa Claus fame. The city has been a part of the Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires, and the rock tombs date back to the Lycian period (168 BCβ43 AD).
Shot with a Nikon D40 and a Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G II lens, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

Here he comes, out of the north! Santa is getting closer!
There is still much preparation as the last week before Christmas is terribly busy for Santa. The gifts must be sorted (Billions of them!) and the sleigh must be maintenanced, and the reindeer must be checked.
But even with all the busy work right now, Santa's heart is bright and cheerful thinking of the children's faces!

The outcome to last night's St. Nick "Bribe Money" photo: St. Nick took the $1.35 in change and left $2.00 in it's place. He also filled the kids' stockings to the top and wrote a little note to both in response to the notes they left for him. It was a magical morning!
9th June 2016 - A different perspective of Liverpool's famous UNESCO world heritage waterfront including the Sailors church of St. Nicholas and the Liver building.
St. Nick is ready, tomorrow is Nikolaustag and in southern Germany children hope to find their boots filled with gifts in the morning.
I hope I don't get arrested for posting this picture. Some people see Santa as giving the Nazi salute. I think he is wondering where his reindeer are. Maybe he is hailing down a taxi.
In just a few days dear old Saint Nick will be packing up his sleigh to deliver gifts to all us good little boys and girls - so we better be good for goodness sake.
