Squinting into the sun... a vixen at Severals Wood near Midhurst.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my Flickr mates.

I'll endeavour to get my cameras firing again sometime in 2017. See you then!

Yuba squinting into the sun while on the kitchen floor. He still enjoyed the sun despite its squint-inducing qualities...

The sun may have been a factor in his squiting or perhaps it was the very cold wind blowing. Either way I caught him squinting. Actually it was a blink but squinting from the sun and wind seems way more interesting.

I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my little space here on Flickr.

Is that how you spell it?

I can't spell or type.

Ugh, wow, I just spelled spell wrong.

Hahahahaha!

Well, I'm going to get off and do some homework.

See you all tomorrow :)

Time to get some green into my photostream.

"Mom, I've got snow in my eyes". Taken during yesterday's snowstorm, which actually is still going. We should get around 20cm when it's all done.

As with most photos, it looks better in the lightbox.

This is the leper's window which allowed the lepers to take part somewhat with church. Through it, Lepers, and other people with contagious diseases, could watch the parish priest at the altar elevating the sacrament during Holy Communion. These unfortunate people, often deformed by leprosy, where not allowed to enter the church or to take sacrament.

I may have missed my focus in front of such wonders. :-)

Pause to catch breath.

Pause for a moment to feel the glorious sun on your face.

My trusty Nikon Coolpix S3500. I have it with me all the time and everywhere I go. And like its predecessors, it gets used a lot and unfortunately, takes a lot of abuse. But to its credit, its still hangin' in there :) I of course have to finish opening its lens cover when I turn it on, lol. But I love this little camera. Its been way better to me than I have to it.

This is the back side of Bradenton Beach, the front side is, uh, a beach.

The little beach town is surrounded by water because it sits on Anna Maria Island. The back side faces the intercoastal waterway and is the place where all the boats dock. It's also where you'll find a lot of fun things to explore, like restaurants, galleries, and fishing piers; not to mention other little villages like Cortez.

I shot this picture at water level using a Platypod on a remarkably calm night; usually, there's a little chop. This is also a prolonged, thirteen-second exposure, so it makes the water appear even smoother. Then I stretched the lights a little downwards to accentuate them. But at the end of the day, if you squint your eyes a little, this is exactly what you would see on most evenings along the inter-coastal waterway. But if that doesn't float your boat, there is always the beach on the other side.

Heading back to camp, walking straight into the rising sun. Time to get out for a paddle!

This is my Phil looking out from the Kitchen window, he often sits there looking at the birds or in this case me at the garden,

Did you know when the cats close their eyes like that they are actually saying "I Love you!"
