Another test picture using my recently acquired collapsible Industar 10 (FED10) 50mm f3.5 wide open. Not an inspiring image by any means, but a revealing one. No cropping or sharpening, just adjustment of lights, darks and contrast.
rosebay willow herb, and another plant sprout from the top of this long dead, moss covered elm stump. (ulmes procera) looking over the glebe field, recent clear felled gaskells wood, and onwards towards whita hill, the becks. langholm, dumfriesshire, scotland.
A new necklace I made of wood and wool.
I shaped the piece of oak from a limb I hauled in from the woods and needled in some hand-dyed wool to suggest moss. I then embroidered a little bit of growth on the piece to suggest sporophytes and sprouts.
i know this shot isn't spectacular by any means, but discovering these sprouting daffodil bulbs pretty much made my day
Hymenocallis coronaria, "Rocky shoals spider lily". They are being returned to natural habitats...which means being jammed into cracks between rocks in the the rapids of the Saluda River, among other places.
I was challenging myself to get a decent photo from some brussel sprouts today. I think this one is alright.
