I was pleased to be asked by Springwatch to include one of my pics in an online article about wildlife gardening. OK, far from one of my best shots, but I'm pleased (easily) and am glad for the sparrow who worked hard for his 15 minutes of fame.

Even if that Marsh harrier isn't a Bittern and there's no way you can see ticks on the Night herons... LOL... Still the lizard is in the right place... I think they must have the links set up wrong on the page !!:@D

Things have been crazy here, for some time now. Aging parents, trying to make decent respectful care plans and settling for ones barely adequate, leaves everyone feeling depleted and lost. I have been struggling with a deadline for a personal goal which appears now, come hell or high water, I am likely to make tomorrow morning...., but it has lost its luster and become one more thing that must be done. On a bit of a drive today we passed this slightly surreal scene, just odd enough to make one wonder, just right enough to wish my name was on one chair. Maybe when we are lost, it is a chance to be found. Maybe somewhere a dream discarded is waiting to be picked up and carried down the road by a new burst of energy. maybe when I am slightly less tired, this will seem less wonderful, but on this day a smile and a thanks to the arranger of the chairs, who gave this view a room. If my life were a house, it might look just like this.
