A rainbow basking in its own glory - and why not. This perfect rainbow and its reflection arced across the sky as I drove out of Attingham Park yesterday evening.

She collects dust to coat her eggs. This is thought to prevent dessication and provide camouflage. She then flicks her eggs towards the nests of solitary bees.

Every year the jays make their nest in my bedroom.

 

I usually only see these on the heather, however I could hear singing which incorporated a brrrp sound, so kept looking, no-one on the heather, but in this little tree... :)
