Lizard on Springwatch Wild Academy.

Always nice to see one of your photos pop up on TV. I got two messages from the SW team asking to use a lizard and smooth newt photo :^)

Emerged from the bee box in the garden.

This wall was painted during Springwatch 2024 at Arne RSPB reserve in Dorset.

The wall is situated near the cafe & shop. Whilst I was there I had to wait for a couple to move their bikes & eventually I asked if they were leaving soon as I wanted to take photos. She said to her partner words to the effect, "perhaps it was a stupid place to lean her bike" uh!!!. The handles were resting on the Dartford Warblers face, the wall will soon be spoilt if people don't think. There was a very ordinary wall a mere 3 yards away.

I will now get off my soapbox😊😊😊

Perched on a branch, the kingfisher sits like a jewel of nature, its vivid blues and fiery orange glowing against the quiet beauty of the wild.🌿 Lincolnshire, UK.

I mean, look at those toes!!

Picture of a lizard taken in Connaught Water Epping Forest - not by me - trying for an ID. Sending to you Christian in case you have any ideas. All contributions welcome of course. I'm told that it was about 4 inches long.

I was very lucky to capture this Hobby eating a dragonfly fly on the wing just a few feet above my head!
